Released a few days ago, Miami Dolphins, Channing Crowder Linebacker (Notes), has announced that it is a kick in the occupational pension.
Crowder has 27 years, and was, as far as I could see a beautiful state linebacker. A little on the crazy side, maybe, but not in a way that has never kept anyone from busting heads on the football field. Nobody gives you a history quiz on Anne Frank, before you guys a quarterback. No need for an assurance that you will not fight an old man and his father.
Its crazy is taken in a different format this time, though. He is just steps away from the game. NBC Miami
"I had opportunities," said Sid Rosenberg Crowder WQAM host. "When I started thinking about retirement and became an option is when I knew I had to."
"I retire. I'm going home," he said on the air. "I will continue to play in Miami, but I'm not putting a helmet."
Okie Dokie then. Crowder said he did not need the money and saved "most of his money" and if he prefers to leave football and spending time with his family rather than play for anyone but the Dolphins, so why not?
It 'was expected to make $ 2.5 million with the Dolphins in 2011, before letting go.
It is unusual. Just a few days ago, Crowder took a physical with the Patriots. If he does not want to play football, I do not know why he would go to Foxborough and let be hit and pushed by team doctors Pats. Maybe there is something else at play here. Certainly, some teams out there using it.
During his six seasons with Miami, has accumulated 469 tackles Crowder (343 solo).
Even if the pipeline only to 2005, says he has done, and why not Brett Favre (notes), I see no reason to doubt him. Enjoy your retirement, Channing.
