"[He Looting] is a path that we're not going to go down."

Gazidis added: "He did not suddenly become a bad manager or out of touch is absurd .."

But, speaking at the Breakfast Club sports industry in London on Tuesday Gazidis Wenger's support to improve the lot of the club.

He added: "If we enter the short-termism that do more harm to the club, he is frustrated, but very, very focused on putting things right and positive committed than ever to lead the club to the above ..

"The club is in crisis. There is no division in the club. We work together."

Wenger, Cesc Fabregas and Samir Nasri missed in Barcelona and Manchester City respectively in the summer transfer window.

The French had little time to replace them - even if it is to bring Mikel Arteta of Everton and Chelsea Yossi Benayoun and Andre Santos, from Fenerbahce and Werder Bremen Mertesacker Fri just before the deadline.

Gazidis said: "We made a slight adjustment by signing some experienced players and we are very pleased with what we brought in.

"If we went out and spent all our money, we make bad decisions, we have been selected.

"The club focuses on a responsible, sustainable model. Football is in the way and people trying to get where we already are. We are the future of football.

"We are so indifferent we do things and not be influenced by talk about the crisis. We must be together. A lot of anxiety is the public's expectations are so high."

Wenger cited the lack of "urgency of concentration, communication, coordination and individual" as the reason for the defeat at Ewood Park Saturday, which saw them score two own goals by Alex Song and Laurent Koscielny.

The 61-year-old said after the season, the club now comes to how they react.

He said: "Our season depends on how we respond to this disappointment and how quickly we cut error.

"When you score a goal against his, you have to look. We [undue] objectives.

"We feel we gave that game, not that we lost the game. There is nothing worse in our jobs than having that feeling.

"[But] I personally want to focus on the positives, because there is huge potential in this team. We had 22 shots on goal, 61% of possession. "
