Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini admitted his side were "nervous and naive" in their debut Champions League - but believes they will improve.
City stumbled to a point against Napoli, according Aleksandar Kolarov superb throw to tie free Edinson Cavani is well taken opener.
Mancini said: "For us, this match was very important and I think that maybe the players were nervous.".
He said he was confident his side could win the next game with Bayern Monaco.
Mancini added: "This was our first Champions League match, and therefore all the players wanted to win, and maybe everyone wanted to score.
"I was surprised that as we played the second half. But maybe it was just down the desire and pressure to do well."

Addressing the travel size for Germany September 27, Mancini said he believed his players would benefit from the pressure off them.
"We will do better in Munich," said Mancini. "We will be calm during the evening and we can win there. They are a great team, but we have a team that can win anywhere. "
Mancini was unhappy that his team too much of their drafted well, when they went forward, and seemed to have led to a breakaway goal in Naples.
"We need to understand how important it is to play easier, more simple, football," he said. "A team that we must not allow a goal on the way. When we lost the ball, we did not have the midfielders in front of the defenders.
"For 10 minutes in the second half we left plenty of room for players to Naples and were very dangerous. It can not happen. It's naivety.
"We have to improve as a team. We have some fantastic players, but all parties in the Champions League is difficult and different."
City, who scored 15 goals in Premier League matches this season four, saw a lot of opportunities early before going ahead and Napoli began to threaten after the break.
Mancini said he was satisfied with the way his side started, but agreed they were more difficult to break down Napoli as the game progressed and do not blame Edin Dzeko or Sergio Agüero not find on the net.
"It is impossible for an attacker to score three or four goals every game," said Mancini. "Napoli defended very well, with three central defenders. It has been difficult.
"It 'important to play the ball quickly up-front. We did the first time, and another less, but I'm still happy with their work."
