Andy Murray says is wary of the threat posed by Donald Young, when they meet in the last 16 to US Open at Flushing Meadows on Tuesday.
Murray shocked the American victory on Sept. 2 at BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells in March.
"He has talent, so he can hit winners from all corners of the court," said Murray, 24.
"This is why it is dangerous, it is very flashy and get on a roll when he plays well."
World number four Murray, who needed five sets to move beyond Robin Haase in the second round, booked his place in the fourth round with a comfortable win in straight sets to Feliciano Lopez on Sunday.
"I think that energy-wise I feel good that you go, hopefully for a long time in the second week," said Scot.
"It's an important fight for me because of course what happened earlier this year.
"Around that time Indian Wells, it was hard part of the year for me.
"It's not revenge, both against Donald, on the situation that was there and make sure that I can move on."
World No 84 Young, who won the junior title at Wimbledon in 2007, has finally turned some of its early promise into results on the biggest stage.
The 22 is still winning matches and reached the semifinals at the ATP World Tour in Washington in August.
At Flushing Meadows, he beat 14th seed Stanislas Wawrinka in the second round before attacking past the 24th seed Juan Ignacio Chela in straight sets in the third round.
When asked about his chances of repeating the victory of Murray, said: "Absolutely it's different It has three (sets) and five 'only a shot ...
"I do not think there was too much confidence from Indian Wells. He did not play his best. But I'm playing well too."
