American Football Klinsmann Debut Shows Great Task Ahead

Philadelphia - Opening night of the show Jurgen Klinsmann, the U.S. new head coach dodge a bullet, but drew 1-1 Wednesday against Mexico has left no doubt about the scale of the task ahead.

A lively second half effort helped the side to ensure complete honor, even at Lincoln Financial Field, but there is still a mountain to climb, if Klinsmann is to meet the high expectations placed on him by the football public.

A possible savior, he may or may not, but in any case, an international coach is to work within the limits of the players at his disposal. Here is the evidence that might have been removed from many of the serious long-term claims, while embryonal dig up maybe a couple of hidden gems.

It 'is already clear that Klinsmann is trying to build a field that promotes open and positive style, but does not show favorites previous system of Bob Bradley.

"We wanted to express themselves and have fun," said Klinsmann. "We definitely need to work on a lot of things. We have to be more comfortable."

Klinsmann, because he is a man of the fans wanted more than anything else, can get more than any other honeymoon in recent times, the coach of the United States. Even so, avoid a loss in his first game was a great welcome and a bit 'after the unexpected departure irregular.

For the first 45 minutes seemed to be little verve and energy that Mexico sailed into a 1-0 lead with Oribe Peralta and procedures have been mastered. The first exchanges Klinsmann's reign could not have started much worse, with Team USA not to register a shot on goal during the first 45 minutes.

Somewhere in the last two years, the United States gradually saw the fire and spirit away. Towards the end of last side of the CONCACAF Gold Cup final, looked devoid of inspiration, and that seemed too early in Mexico.

However, the second half was a significant and caused by young people, what can and should influence future thinking about Klinsmann. Juan Agudelo and Robbie Rogers was impressed, but it was Brek Shea who provided the real injection of life that has moved the tempo of the game.

Shea, a 21-year-old who plays with FC Dallas in MLS, set up a goal when it looked as if no one came, and have a chance to make the slot left his own at the beginning of World Cup 2014. After 73 minutes, he cuts to the sidelines, held off three defenders and squared the ball to Rogers to perform the simplest of tap-ins for the net unattended.

The effort shown by his replacement would have gladdened the heart of Klinsmann, who more than anyone wants to promote competition for places. The German squad numbers even eliminated permanently with his starting lineup for every game match 1-11 The change in policy, even caught the equipment manager of the team, without knowing it, and as such there was only numbers and no names on the backs of players' shirts.

Some of the participants on Wednesday can not be seen again. Edgar Castillo and Michael Orozco were ordinary at best but the lack of depth of defense can not exclude them from action hero to come. Klinsmann seemed surprisingly impressed by Jose Torres, while Mexico-midfielder continues to look inconsistent when he dons an American uniform.

Edson Buddle started, but his hopes of a regular slot depends on some problems that come with Jozy Altidore Agudelo or absent. And if one eye is made permanent in 2014, so that the day of Jermaine Jones and Carlos Bocanegra could be numbered - Bocanegra higher value today is as a person and respected in the locker room.

Shea is not positive, with Kyle Beckerman, midfielder who played as four-sided involvement, which seems to be a better system for Klinsmann. Beckerman was far from the national team throughout the Bradley, the image that did not have a game with Landon Donovan as the level of under 17, but has proved more than sufficient for inclusion in more detail.

Naturally, different faces come as Klinsmann try different formulas, and when players like Clint Dempsey and Stuart Holden is available again. But as opening acts go, Klinsmann and his troops used a passing grade.

If nothing else, this might be the perfect result, so as to avoid the loss disenchanting fourth consecutive time in Mexico to send pro-Klinsmann the machine frame into overdrive soon.

"It's a new beginning," said Klinsmann. "We'll see where it takes us."
